The study involves measuring indoor and outdoor temperatures during the summer of 2020 and developing a simulation model of the building for the whole summer period. The BB101 Guide is used to determine acceptable indoor thermal conditions in schools. Results show that students experienced over 130 hours of overheating in classrooms on the south side. Mitigation measures such as exterior blind roll shading, or a combination of night cooling with exterior shading, low SHGC, or with a cool roof can alleviate overheating hours.
