Standardplanung versus Simulationen – Wirtschaftlicher Nutzen moderner Planungswerkzeuge

Abstract: Currently the usual planning process according to the German HOAI [1] is splitted strictly into several disciplines, where different, specific tools are used in every planning discipline. In the technical disciplines simplified methods are used very often – probably by reasons of tradition and reduction of work. This article starts making evident that modern, sophisticated planning tools like simulations are superior to the standard tools always. Then the enormous savings during the design process of a mechanical ventilation plant, which can be obtained by using simulation technics, is shown by an example from reality. Finally the cost effectiveness of simulations is evaluated and thus also the financial benefits of using simulations during planning process is quantified exemplarily.
