EN-ISO Normen zur Validierung von Gebäudesimulationsmodellen

Abstract: Dynamic building energy simulations are more and more popular in the planning process of advanced and innovative buildings. A large number of software tools with different solution methods, simplifications and boundary assumptions are used today. Therefore it is very difficult to compare the results of these programs. In respect to the implementation of the European Directive 2002/91 on the energy performance of buildings, harmonized methods and procedures to assess the energy use and the indoor climate conditions are needed. The standardization work has been focused to set up general criteria and validation procedures for the calculation of internal temperatures of a room in summer [EN ISO 13791] , [EN ISO 13792], of the sensible room cooling load [prEN 15255] and of the energy need for heating and cooling [prEN 15265] in order to enable the comparison of results. These standards are organized in two parts: the first part defines all assumptions, boundary conditions and simplifications which are mandatory (e.g. surface heat transfer coefficients, factors to split the solar gains), the second part contains a set of validation tests which have to be done to satisfy the standard. The work has been performed within CEN TC 89 "Thermal performance of buildings and building components“, WG6 "Non steady state thermal performance of buildings" and was financially supported by the EPBD project CEN/ENTR 2004-06 “Methodology for calculating the integrated energy performance of buildings and estimating the environmental impact”.
