Gekoppelte Gebäude- und Anlagensimulation mit MODELICA: Erfassung thermischer und hydraulischer Vorgänge

Abstract: The energetic optimization of buildings demands knowledge concerning the interaction of the building structure and the building services installations already in early design stages. Such knowledge can only be achieved by the means of simulation. The Hermann-Rietschel-Institute uses the ability of the modeling language Modelica to aggregate different physical domains inside one simulation model. This approach allows for the coupled dynamic simulation of building and technical installations. The paper shows the concepts of such coupled simulations, taking a room that is being chilled via capillary tubes inside the ceiling as an example. It is shown that the object oriented and equation based approach applying Modelica is a particularly useful way of dealing with such coupled simulation tasks.
