Computing method of thermal and light environment considering solar spectral characteristics

Abstract: This paper presents a new window calculationmethod that could consider spectral characteristics of solar radiation to change every hour andwavelength selectivity of glasses. By coupling thiswindow calculation method and heat load simulation, it was enabled to predict indoor environment and energy consumption with a high degreeof accuracy. This simultaneous evaluation of lighting electric energy reduction by daylighting andheat load reduction enable to explain effect of automatic control system. This paper presents details of this calculation method, influence of spectral characteristics on the heat calculation precision and variability in time of luminous efficiency/ color rendering by type of glasses and shadingmethods.
