Berechnung des Auftriebsvolumenstroms über einem stehenden Zylinder in einer Quellluftströmung

Abstract: A standing cylinder within a room is simulated with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods. Different turbulence models are examined with respect to the predicted heat transfer coefficient and convective volume flow rate. Therefore the simulation results are compared to experimental data by Rank et. al. (2006). Up to now transient simulations with the SST and k-ε turbulence models were conducted. Further investigations with RSM, SAS, DES and LES are planned.
