Simulationsbasierte Speicheroptimierung für die thermische Lastverschiebung in Gebäuden als Teil virtueller Kraftwerke

Abstract: This paper presents a simulation-based approach for finding an optimum design of active thermal storages in buildings considering operational, energy-economical and ecological aspects. The basic idea is to use thermal storages for shifting building energy loads in order to supply control energy to the public grid, thus e. g. generating revenues to the building operator by participating at the control energy market. In the simulation, an existing cooling plant is modeled with the simulation tool TRNSYS and linked to the generic optimization program GenOpt. The aim of the first simulation study carried out is to determine the optimal storage tank size which, under the given cost and prize structures, yields the minimum operational costs for delivering cooling energy.
