Abstract: CBP Energy Refurbishment® stands for the strategic effected change of your assets to forward-looking, energy efficient real estates. Following the guiding idea of sustainability this optimization strategy helped to quantify a 46.1% cut in future primary energy demand for a 240.000sq lot at Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1, reducing annual carbon emissions by ~9.500 tons. This was accomplished by consequently using simulation tools in combination with a value engineering process, compiling further project goals and qualitative customer preferences to an integrated concept
