Queen – Ein Tool zur Evaluierung Innovativer Gebäude- und Anlagenkonzepte auf Basis Dynamischer Simulation

Abstract: The currently established planning and design process in the building industry is in some ways a very conservative one. An early evaluation of the energetic performance of innovative architectural design- and HVAC system concepts during the concept phase of a construction project is hindered due to missing detailed data and suitable tools. Furthermore, the pressure on the planning team to succeed is extremely high due to cost-pressure, the complexity of the planning process itself and the demand to minimize the risk-potential. The mentioned factors are a substantial barrier for the increased usage of energy efficient, innovative building technologies. The presented tool enables an evaluation of different design concepts during a very early stage in the planning process. By using results of dynamic thermal building simulation, the concepts are judged with regard to their energy efficiency. An ongoing adaptation of the level of detail of the model to the actual state of planning is possible.
