Abstract: This study determines for di fferent planning options for an office room the true energy efficiency, defined as the ratio of achi eved i ndoor com fort t o t he expended energy demand. The rat ing of i ndoor com fort here differentiates between m echanical and naturally operated buildings, co nsiders air q uality an d u ses a simple approach for evaluation of daylight performance. The study shows that comfort parameter may change quickly in peri od of t ime, t hat i s why dy namic simulation is th e rig ht in strument to capture these conditions.
