DAS POWERHAUS – EIN EINFAMILIENHAUS ALS KÜHLTURM EINES HOCHEFFIZIENTEN STROMERZEUGERS

Sebastian Stinner, Dirk Müller

Abstract: The energy system in Germany is in a shift towards a distributed supply system. For the supply of buildings micro-CHP systems can have a growing impact. One promising technology in this case is the fuel cell, because it can reach higher conversion efficiencies than for example an internal combustion engine can achieve. These facilities should be operated continuously due to their nature and due to the fact that they can achieve a very high electrical efficiency of up to 60%. This continuous operation in a "powerhouse" is examined in more detail in this paper. Especially the possibility of using waste heat to replace boiler generated heat is considered in this paper. Also, the effects of different configurations on the power supply of the building will be analyzed.
