Modell Zur Berechnung der Transmissionseigenschaften von gekrümmtem Glas in MODELICA

Abstract: The modern design process includes complex simulations to calculate the energy performance of systems, involving vehicles and buildings likewise. As part of such predictions, transparent envelope elements are addressed. Calculations concern the influence of windows including heat transmission as well as radiative properties. While the effect of heat transfer in general is well understood, there are still questions left to accurately model radiative properties of glazings using zonal simulation. Models are available for calculating radiative properties of flat semitransparent sheets, for thin films as well as data from individual measurements of samples. Glazing applications In practice, glazing applications trend to shift from flat to curved surface geometries, at least with a single axis curvature. The paper therefore addresses solar optical properties of semitransparent, curved glazings. We develop and validate a simplified model using the object-oriented Modelica modeling approach while emphasizing the integration into a zonal simulation model.
