Simulationsgestützte Untersuchung der Deformation eines Lüftungskanals bei thermischen Aufwärmvorgängen

Abstract: This contribution presents an approach for solving thermo-mechanical problems using a finite element method (FEM). The problem at hand is to describe the strain-behavior of ventilation pipes embedded in masonry wall sections. With help of the calculations, it should be clarified under which conditions and with which limitations, a simulation-based pre-evaluation of building parts in this context is possible. This is important because fire tests are very costly. The paper shows that an FEM study is suitable for modeling the thermal deformations. Due to high model complexity a one-step thermal analysis was first conducted. Following, the mechanical-strain analysis is performed using the pre-selected time intervals.
