Numerische und experimentelle Untersuchung thermisch aktivierter Sandwichwände mit integriertem Paraffin

Abstract: Due to the volatility of renewable energies, the storage of this energy is necessary. In buildings, the mass of the bearing structure is passively used for airconditioning. Phase Change Materials (PCMs) integrated in structural components enable the strengthening of this effect and can be actively managed by thermal activation. In this case there are several parameters available, among others the position of the PCM and the pipe register. For verification, beside tests in the laboratory, also a simulation of the components was conducted. In both, tests and simulation, could be shown that the addition of 2.6% of paraffin leads to an increase of 9% of the heat storage capacity.
