Abstract: In times of climate change, renewable energies are becoming more important. Although the water is known as a natural resource, but it is not exhausted so long. Water and water reservoirs will increasingly be used as an alternative energy source in the near future, underwater heat exchangers use the energy of the water for heating and cooling in buildings which located on the water's edge or on the surface of water. For this purpose, some preliminary investigations were carried out and a parameter study on a simplified spiral heat exchanger was carried out with the help of CFD software ANSYS FLUENT, in order to improve the thermal transfer processes.
