Abstract: Against the background of climatic changes, combined with rising outside air temperatures and prolonged hot spells, the summer thermal protection of buildings will become even more important in the future. The localised recording of meteorological exposures is of major importance for the realistic assessment of thermal comfort in summer. The conducted investigations deal with Germany-wide thermal-dynamic simulations and the resulting effects on the summer thermal behaviour of buildings in climate change. The overtemperature degree hours (Gh26-values) resulting in a defined test room are calculated for one year. Different distributions of summer climate regions in the different periods 19952012 (TRY 2015) and 2030-2060 (TRY 2045) are considered. The investigations of TRY 2015 and TRY 2045 show that a differentiated consideration of the climate regions should be made in further developments of the planning and normative requirements.
