A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR BIM MANAGERS ON THE EXAMPLE OF THERMAL SIMULATION

Abstract: We introduce a project management decision support system using Adaptive Case Management (ACM) and show how the information about the thermal performance of a building is constantly tracked throughout the design process. The targeted key performance indicators (KPIs) are heating and cooling demand as well as summerly overheating. The overall model quality is documented over the number of inconsistencies between the architectural and building physics partial models. The practical use cases demonstrate how the collaboration between two planning teams sharing project models is facilitated to evaluate the energy-related KPIs for a streamlined collaboration to improve the quality of the project.
