BUILDING MODEL CALIBRATION METHODS FOR BUILDING OPERATION APPLICATIONS

Abstract: In order to make use of a dynamic simulation model even in the operational phase of a building, building model calibration is of great importance. This paper presents a first study in direction of such a building calibration for efficient use in practice: 1) key parameters were defined and a sensitivity analysis was carried out to identify the effects of parameter variations, and 2) different calibration methods were compared. The application of the methods at a TestBox showed that key parameters can be used to calibrate a building model far more accurate than the requirements of the ASHRAE 14 guideline.
