INDOOR SWIMMING POOLS: A DYNAMIC SIMULATION MODEL FOR ENERGY ANALYSES
Larissa Kühn, Anna Poensgens, Verena Dannapfel, Tanja Osterhage, Dirk MüllerDOI: https://doi.org/10.26868/29761662.2022.47Abstract: Swimming facilities 1 require high amounts of energy to provide thermal comfort for occupants. To identify energy-saving measures, we developed a novel dynamic simulation model of a swimming pool and the connected water treatment circuit. The integration into a building enables to capture interdependencies between water evaporation and thermal demand of the building. The model is applicable for various changing boundary conditions and specifications (e.g. air and pool conditioning and occupancy levels) and thus allows the investigation of multiple measures at a facility. Within a parameter study, we identified energy-saving potentials of 21 % through improved pool operation and equipment. Paper:bausim2022_Kuehn_Larissa
