DEVELOPMENT OF AN ENERGETIC HIGH-EFFICIENT AND ADAPTIVE DOUBLE-SKIN FACADE
Christin Sirtl, Matthias KrausDOI: https://doi.org/10.26868/29761662.2022.77Abstract: Buildings with a high proportion of glass facades are connected to costly energy requirements due to the necessity for heating in winter and cooling in summer. To reduce this effort, double-skin facades provide a controllable intermediate space or climate zone, respectively. However, the problem of high cooling demands during summer as a consequence of rapid heating between the glass panes remains. In a novel facade developed and analysed within the research project HyGlas, various functional devices, such as different types of coatings, ventilation systems, and vents, are combined as an adaptive system automatically regulated by a control unit. It operates different states of the functional devices depending on climatic boundary conditions for achieving the target value of a constant interior room temperature. Paper:bausim2022_Sirtl_Christin
