Abstract: Grid-interactive building energy systems (BES) enable the transition of buildings to flexible energy consumers. Nonetheless, occupant satisfaction, which is relevant for the spread of the technology, plays a subordinate role compared to costs in the research works on the grid-interactive BES operation. This work proposes a mixed-integer linear program (MILP) to integrate user aspects concerning thermal comfort and electric vehicle (EV) charging preferences in gridinteractive strategies. Applying the method to a singlefamily house shows that the simultaneous optimization of thermal comfort and costs is promising for the application scenario of the gridinteractive BES operation. Further, we demonstrate efficient integration strategies for EV charging scheduling.
