All instruments are portable and the measurements were taken on-site. The luminous properties being extracted include the IES profile of the lighting fixture, the reflectance of surface material and spatial luminance distribution derived from HDR photos. The former two properties were used in Radiance to simulate high-fidelity lighting scenes. The latter one was used to compare against Radiance simulation outcomes. Differences between measured and HDR-derived luminance levels were mostly within 10% and that between measured and Radiance-simulated luminance levels were mostly within 15%. Larger deviations occurred only in extreme high luminance areas. The luminance levels from different rounds of measurements varied less than 5%. It was verified that, due to refraction, portable spectrophotometer cannot correctly measure the reflectance of glass material. Pages: 3376 - 3383 Paper:![]()
