Most methods currently used are based on few parameters, leading to an oversimplification and ignoring several aspects that are essential for building energy efficiency. In this context, this paper presents a novel approach, consisting on intensive use of archetypes, building performance simulation and geographic information system to facilitate the development and validation of climatic zoning. Results on this paper provide preliminary indications of the large potential of this approach to support informed decision making in the climatic zoning process. Pages: 736 - 744 Paper:![]()
