Research was conducted to develop the thermodynamic-potential-based fundamental principle of the PDSC. This work will enable the combined analysis of heat and moisture movement in PDSC envelope systems. The quantitative simulation and experimental results indicate that significant latent heat reduction can be achieved by employing PDSC systems, which will reduce the energy consumptions of indoor temperature and humidity control systems by using solar energy.
