Traditionally, identification of the sensor locations is via solution of inverse problem (computationally intensive) or using some standard thumb rules which might not be suitable for every building. In recent years, the concepts of non-linear control theory is integrated with fluid dynamics to develop Perron-Frobenious(PF) operator based approaches to design sensor placement strategies. This approach alleviates the shortcomings of the previous approaches. The current paper extends the PF framework to account for uncertainty of airflow in the building to compute more robust sensor location maps. The developed approach is demonstrated for a IEA-2D benchmark problem. The algorithm is easily extensible to the complex buildings and can account for various uncertainties.
