Abstract: Quality of light in living environments affects users' performance, mood and behaviour. This research is aimed to assess, through an experimental approach, quality of lighting environment and well-being experienced inside buildings of School of Architecture in Florence and has involved 187 students. This trial consists of two stages, one objective and one subjective analysis: the aim is to compare results obtained from lighting measurements taken in classrooms with responses gathered from questionnaires submitted to students. This study proposes therefore a new assessment methodology for lighting comfort in learning environments.
