BPS is taught in an environmental technology course that links to an architectural design course or studio. The main reason for introducing BPS this way, rather than as an independent course separated from the design studio, is to demonstrate to students the important role BPS plays in a design process. This paper focuses on the experience in learning and teaching BPS at the postgraduate level to assist students in designing mixed-use multi-storey buildings. The paper discusses the structure of the course, the learning/teaching methods, an example of student projects, as well as evaluation by students. Student evaluation includes quantitative evaluation based on Likert Scale and qualitative comments. Lessons learned from this experience will be summarized.
