The present contribution proposes an extension of this concept based on efficiency factors calculated from timeseries of energy, weather, and occupancy (represented by usage). The variation in energy performance of buildings comes from weather and human usage, both of which are boundary conditions that cannot be controlled. This paper explores prediction of what the building does to modulate the effect of weather for providing a comfortable environment according to usage patterns and preferences.
