Abstract: The quality of BIM models is often insufficient for di- rect mapping into simulation models. Also, the IFC standard still has gaps, particularly in the area of rep- resentation of HVAC systems. Enrichment and ad- vanced analysis functions nevertheless make it possi- ble to generate simulation models semi-automatically and reduce effort and errors compared to the conven- tional process of modeling.
