Abstract: This paper discusses the possibility of gradually developing a natural ventilative cooling strategy for an inner-city office building with quantitative assessment tools, based on an actual design trajectory for an architectural office in Flanders (BE). The feasibility of natural ventilative cooling and the impact of the urban heat island effect and climate change are explored, by implementing high-resolution current and future climate model data in each assessment step.
