Abstract: The development of a new class of energy control systems for underground public environments, is one of the main objectives of the EU-funded R&D project called Sustainable Energy Management for Underground Stations (SEAM4US). It aims at developing a fully featured pilot system for the dynamic control of energy consumption in Barcelona’s “Passeig de Gracia” subway station. This paper will outline the model engineering of the integrated environmental models of the subway station’s Energy Control System, which involves the development of natural and forced ventilation, thermal models, and their integration into a Dynamic Bayesian Network.
