A 3D INTERFACE PROGRAM THAT COMBINES EXPERT SYSTEM" PROCEDURES WITH SIMULATION PROGRAMS"

Abstract: An interface environment system is under development. The system is being designed with the aim of improving architect's work by helping them finding the most energy efficient solutions for their building projects in an easier and faster way. The system provides a simple "3D CAD modeller" that allows the user to describe a geometrical definition of a building. It then generates the geometrical input for other programs, namely Energy Plus or Radiance. As these programs are very complex and may require a great effort to define their input, the main focus of this interface system is the generation of the geometrical definition of the building for these target programs.
