Real-Time Monitoring of Building Energy Behavior: A Conceptual Framework
Alexandre Nassiopoulos, Frédéric BourquinUniversité Paris-Est, Laboratoire central des ponts et chaussées (LCPC), Paris, FranceAbstract: This paper presents a conceptual framework for the continuous monitoring of buildings energy state. The proposed methodology is based on a reduced number of low-cost temperature and power sensors. It uses an inversion procedure to combine in an optimal way a detailed thermal model of the building envelope and the measurements obtained from temperature sensors. The inversion procedure aims at reconstructing the unknown right-hand side terms of a detailed thermal model thus enabling to quantify the various heat transfers between the building and its environment and between the different components of the building envelope.
